Intellectual property laws in Japan aren’t quite the same as they are elsewhere. In Japan, you can rent CDs and DVDs. However, those IP laws don’t allow for game rentals. Dragon Quest X is proving to be an exception. (Culture, Dragon Quest X, Wii, Wii U)
